Henry Harrison Brown is best known as the
author of the original Dollars Want Me book in 1903, however there was much
more to this fascinating man. The experience and knowledge gained by Henry
allowed him to write some of the most life changing books of all time.
So
who exactly was Henry Harrison Brown?
Henry Harrison Brown was born in Massachusetts
in 1840, he had a varied career which included serving in the U.S Volunteers
during the Civil War from August 1862 until October 1865, and he was also a
teacher, journalist and a lecturer for 17 years.
Henry went onto become one of the elder
statesmen of the new thought movement in the early part of the 20th
century, and was also a Unitarian minister for 7 years. Brown was a visionary
and some might say born before his time, as was demonstrated in the many books
that he wrote.
Henry established the magazine “Now”, which
was considered one of the most dynamic of the New Thought periodicals. It was
also known as “a Monthly Journal of Positive
Affirmations, devoted to Mental Science and the Art of Living.” The basic
affirmation of this publication was:
“Man is spirit here and now, with all the
possibilities of Divinity within him, and he can consciously manifest these
possibilities here and now”
Brown went on to write a several books on
subjects such as how to achieve success, self-healing, thought and more. These
books served as extremely informative pieces for those interested in improving
their lives.
His instructions on attracting money and
positive things have lasted through the decades, and helped many people with
improving their financial and personal lives. He carried on helping people
through his books and lectures right up until his death in 1918.
