Social Media Marketing for Affiliate Marketers – 5 Top Tips!

As an affiliate marketer, one of the most useful tools you will have at your disposal will be social media. Social media is a great place to start when you want to get your product out there and recognised by the masses as it’s essentially free!

Free marketing is great for anyone just starting out as it means that you get the chance to make some money before you have to start spending it on marketing strategies.

Not only is social media the fastest way to get your marketing campaign started, it is also the most enjoyable! And probably the easiest way for most people to start as almost everyone knows about social media, has their own accounts and already has a following that they can possible engage with.

You can have fun with social media marketing and the more interesting and informative and of course engaging you are, the more your product will get noticed, and the more sales you will make!

Here are my 5 top tips to get sky-rocket your social media marketing campaign!

1. Know your Audience – Your product, like all products will appeal to a specific audience, it is extremely important that you figure out that audience and who it is that you want to attract before you begin posting on your social media profiles.

2. Create Quality Content – Avoid constantly posting links to your website, or product and deliver good quality and interesting content to your followers. They are going to be more engaged if you have posted something that is in their interest than just seeing a page full of pictures and links to a website without any real personality behind it. People buy from people so be a human, instead of a faceless computer!

3. Use Images – Images are excellent for getting people’s attention, so research and find out what your followers are into and combine that with your industry to create, interesting and engaging shareable images!

4. Be consistent – It is very important to stay active and consistent on social media, as you will quickly fall off of people’s radars if you do not show up in their news feed often enough. I do not mean that you should be posting every minute of the day, but figure out what works for you, and decide on the frequency and the times your posts will reach your audience.

5. Share, interact, like – Follow others that are related to your industry and interact with them, at the end of the day every time you like or comment on a post on another page, their followers will see your name. Networking made easy!

So if you are just getting started with affiliate marketing and are struggling to know where to start… Start with social media! Share your experiences with us on our Facebook page!
